ROSIE! 🌟 We just got pictures of Rosie with her furever mom, Ruth Scott!

Ruth recently lost her beloved GiGi, a stunning 130lb German Shepherd, and was devastated. A week later, a friend spotted Rosie in a Nextdoor post and knew she was meant to help heal Ruth’s aching heart. And they were right! Ruth fell in love instantly, and now Rosie is settling in beautifully with her new mom and her little brother, Willie—a one-eyed, deaf, but absolutely adorable pup who welcomed Rosie with a happily wagging tail. We just know they’re going to be incredible together!

Rosie’s former mom, Nancy, who heartbreakingly had to part with her due to life circumstances, recently underwent cancer surgery and is now recovering with round-the-clock care. Please keep her in your prayers as she awaits results, hoping the cancer hasn’t spread.

This is truly a happy ending for Rosie and Ruth—and a source of comfort for Nancy, knowing her beloved Rosie has found a wonderful, loving home.

💖 THANK YOU, RUTH, FOR OPENING YOUR HEART AND HOME TO SWEET ROSIE! 💖

Meet Tigger! This sweet boy recently found himself in need of a new home when his senior owner developed allergies. It was a heartbreaking situation, but we have the happiest of endings to share—Tigger has already found his purr-fect new home… in a beautiful oceanfront condo!

Ms. Judy P., who had recently lost her beloved kitty, opened her heart to Tigger, and as you can see in the picture, it was love at first sight! These two were meant to find each other, and now they will enjoy a lifetime of companionship and cuddles.

Thank you, Judy, for giving Tigger a loving home! Wishing you both endless joy together. 🐾❤️

A huge shout out to Kathy D. for caring for Beau these last several months and to Erin B. for taking Beau initially. We couldn’t do any of this without our CAC fosters.

We know Beau is happy and loved at his new forever home.

December 2024

CAC was contacted by Gianna, a warm, compassionate caregiver at The Blake, an assisted living facility in Viera. She spoke of a little dog named Sweetie that needed a home immediately, and could we help. She explained Sweetie’s mom had been suffering from severe dementia for over a year and had been isolating with her little baby for quite some time. Mom would be entering long-term care and Sweetie would need to be adopted.

That was a Friday in late November and we had Sweetie in our care the following day. A call was made to a lovely woman, Judy, who had recently lost her furry companion. Judy hurried over from her home in Indian Atlantic to meet Sweetie, an 8 yr old Maltese, that couldn’t have weighed more than two pounds, was extremely stressed and in need of care. I (Christine) feel in love immediately (of course) and wanted Sweetie myself! Judy too fell in love and I knew her new momma was found. Only problem, Judy was leaving for Thanksgiving week.

Needless to say, I volunteered and lovingly fostered this little nugget for the week. Sweetie loves to cuddle but was extremely cautious initially. She ate nonstop even gaining a little weight, and slept very peacefully wrapped in a new blanket. Alas, Ms. Judy returned and the baby was placed in her arms. After lots of kisses (and a few tears from me) we placed Sweetie in her new car seat and said goodbye. A very happy ending for our Sweetie and for Judy who will provide the best life any pup could ask for. Another perfect example of the loving and compassionate work we are doing at CAC.

A Heartwarming New Beginning for Chase and Bolt!

Chase and Bolt, a sweet four-year-old sibling duo, have found their forever home with the loving Moon family!

From the moment they arrived, these inseparable cats started settling in and making themselves comfortable in their new surroundings. The journey wasn’t an easy one for Chase and Bolt. They tragically lost their beloved owner, who had cherished them deeply. While their owner’s family cared about the duo, severe allergies made it impossible for them to provide a home. Her granddaughter, determined to honor her grandmother’s love for Chase and Bolt, worked with us to find a family who would treasure them just as much.

That search led to the Moon family, whose hearts were immediately captured by Chase and Bolt. Now, these two wonderful cats are enjoying the second chance they truly deserve—a home filled with love, care, and a bright future.

Heartfelt thanks to the Goncalves family!

It’s a perfect match! We couldn’t be happier for Penny and Trixie, who have found a loving, forever home with the Goncalves family. Huge gratitude to Melissa, Alex, and Arianna for opening their hearts to these two special pups.

Penny and Trixie are incredibly sweet and have been devoted sisters since they were pups. Sadly, their elderly parents had to make the difficult decision to rehome them due to their declining health and multiple medical challenges. It was a hard choice, but their parents’ love and care for Penny and Trixie were clear—they wanted only the very best for their girls and hoped to keep them together.

Thanks to the Goncalves family, Penny and Trixie will continue their journey together in a wonderful home. Here’s to new memories, wagging tails, and lots of love ahead!

Dee & Kalie: A Match Meant to Be

Kalie’s story took a bittersweet turn on September 12th when her beloved mom passed away, leaving Kalie in need of a new home. As part of our mission, we were entrusted with finding her a loving place to land. That’s when Miss Dee stepped in, initially offering to foster Kalie during this transition. Little did she know that Kalie would quickly capture her heart.

As it turns out, Kalie is a very special reminder of love Miss Dee had lost. She had recently said goodbye to her own beloved dog, coincidentally named Callie. That shared name felt like a sign—another gentle reminder that love finds a way, even in the most unexpected places. For Miss Dee, welcoming Kalie into her life felt like more than just chance; it was proof that sometimes, God works in mysterious ways.

Now, Kalie has found her forever home with Miss Dee, where they can heal together, one day at a time.
